Turning Point
In nature, the autumnal equinox signals the beginning of autumn. Daylight begins to shorten, temperatures start to fall, frost puts an end to the green growth of summer, and leaves turn vibrant colors. In our own lives, there is often a precipitating event that sets off a cycle of change. It might be parenthood, the death of a loved one, a job promotion or change, the end of a relationship, a move to a new location, children leaving home, a serious illness or other life-changing events.
- Describe what events have served as a catalyst for
change in your life at this time. - Was this change in your life planned or unexpected?
- How might the experience of change be different if it was chosen or if it was thrust upon you?
